Holiday cottage on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset

We had a fantastic time. It was clean and cosy, check in was smooth. we were working from the cottage and the internet worked very well. Its in a beautiful location – we walked to the beach every morning. Recommend in winter when it’s quiet!

A lovely stay at the cottage. Great access to beach / pubs / walks. Lovely hosting as well, very responsive.

Lovely cottage with everything needed for our break. We were greeted and given a quick tour round which made everything nice and easy for our stay. Great outdoor space too to enjoy the views. There are some good pubs nearby and plenty to do within short distances. Would recommend

The cottage was spotlessly clean and the interior was very tastefully appointed. We are planning on staying again as there is much to see and do in the area. We didn’t use the garden but if it was summer, it would have been a fantastic amenity with stunning views.

There are two really great pubs, one opposite and another other a short, but very pleasant, walk away. Check in was very easy and the host is super quick to respond which was great.

All in all a great stay and we would certainly recommend. read less

Heather and Alan are the nicest people and such great hosts. They have thought of everything you need to make your stay enjoyable including some thoughtful touches like coffee, wine, and flowers. The kitchen is well stocked if you choose to do your own cooking. We appreciated both the dish washer and clothes washer. We especially enjoyed having a fire in the wood stove on rainy days. The cottage is in a great location for exploring the beautiful Jurassic coast as well as both Dorset and Devon. Heather gave us great tips on places to eat and things to see. We highly recommend this accommodation. read less

You don’t need anything else. Tv has netflix and there is a DVD player and some movies. Bed is very comfortable! The outside space would be great with good weather. No problems with water or heating. And good communication with Heather. Location is great to explore and for walks. There is a big town 5 min drive if you need a big supermarket. The walk to the beach takes only 20 min and its great. We had meals at the George Inn (opposite the cottage) and at the Anchor Inn( in Seatown). Food was good in both of them, but the latter is more pricey. The pretty village of Abbotsbury is close and I would recommend seeing it. We had a lovely homemade soup and Dorset apple cake at the Old schoolhouse tea room there. I will definitely come back! read less

This is a gorgeous cottage. The space is well laid out and Heather has thought of everything. All very high quality!
Would recommend!

It’s a beautiful cottage and so easy for walks and things to do. We definitely enjoyed having a beer in the garden overlooking the cows and sheep in the autumn sunshine. Looking forward to coming back! I can’t recommend this accommodation enough!

We love both cottages and their gardens equally, so now we just alternate every year. If there are any issues Heather and Alan are on hand to sort them, that said we’ve never had any at all.
We love walking, especially on the this section of the SW Coast Path, so this is an ideal place to stay, this year we managed 50+ miles during the week.
The cottage is superbly presented inside and out with nothing you may need forgotten, a lovely touch especially is the welcome treat of milk, local biscuits and a bottle of wine.
Located in a beautiful part of Dorset, the cottage garden has views across the fields to Thorncombe Beacon and you are only a matter of minutes by car from Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Bridport and West Bay and a 15 minute walk to Seatown beach. There are many pubs and restaurants in these places all serving good food. read less

The cottage is even better than the pictures and is nestled near the Dorset coast. Beautiful pastoral views from both the cottage and the garden (was much fun greeting the sheep every morning!)

Loved the fireplace and the generous offering of wood (thanks Heather!) – made for some wonderfully cozy nights in as the coastal rain and wind took over. We also much appreciated the well stocked kitchen which made some dinners at the cottage easy and enjoyable.
