Our booking terms and conditions
The following booking conditions apply to the contract of hire of Greenwich Cottage by the hirer, and the owners
Bookings can be made online via FreetoBook or via telephone.
A binding contract is entered into on receipt of a signed FreetoBook on-line booking form.
A booking is deemed to be accepted by the owner when you, the hirer, receive confirmation. If the details on the confirmation are not correct, please contact the owners immediately.
The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed three.
No pets or smoking are allowed in the cottage.
In addition, provisional reservations can be accepted by telephone or email and must be confirmed within 3 working days by the arrival of the required deposit and booking form.
A deposit of 25% of total booking price is required at the time of booking. Deposit payments can be made by debit or credit card via the website, using the services of Stripe, or by cheque.
The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival date, or at time of booking if sooner. If the balance is not received within the time specified the owner/booking agent reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.Balance payments may be made by debit or credit card or direct bank transfer or by cheque. Please make cheques payable to “Chideock Cottage” (not Greenwich Cottage). We will remind you by email when the balance is due.
If you book within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday, the whole cost of the accommodation, is payable immediately.
If the booking is cancelled less than 56 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.
If the booking is cancelled 56 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to 25% of the stay will be made.
In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.We strongly recommend you consider taking out cancellation insurance. Try Guest First
For bookings on or after 4/7/2020 – coronavirus pandemic
If we cannot host your confirmed stay due to coronavirus lockdown measures put in place by the government in the location of the cottage, we will offer to move your stay to other dates or offer a full refund.
If you cannot travel to us for your confirmed stay due to coronavirus lockdown measures in your area put in place by the government, we will offer to move your stay to other dates or offer a full refund.
Any change in holiday dates/number of guests will be subject to the agreement of the owner and an administration fee may be charged.
The cottage will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival. Please vacate by 10am at the latest on the day of departure, in order that we have time to prepare the house for the new guests.
The hirer agrees
That the supervision of children and any adults requiring care remains the responsibility of the Hirer at all times.
To be responsible for leaving the accommodation clean and in good order, otherwise a cleaning charge will be levied.
To pay for any unreasonable damage, breakage or loss caused.
A security deposit of £100 is required on arrival, against which damage and breakages will be charged. This will be returned after departure.
Cars and belongings are left at guests’ risk at all times. No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to such items.
